On June 24, 2026, a double earthquake struck northwestern Venezuela; according to official figures, there were 6,125 deaths, 16,740 people injured, and 17,907 people left homeless. Thousands of children are living in shelters today, without school, without routine, and without access to basic services.
Fundación Chamos immediately activated an emergency response — drinking water, medical equipment, food, infant formula, and support for rescue teams — and we are now moving forward with Construyo con Chamos, our medium and long-term reconstruction program to assist families displaced by the earthquake in Venezuela.
Construyo con Chamos is currently divided into 5 programs.

As part of our comprehensive emergency response, moving towards a reconstruction phase, we are launching Construyo con Chamos (Building with Chamos), a sustainable long-term strategy divided into the following programs: Construyo Jugando (Building by Playing), Construyo Nutriendo (Building by Nourishing), Construyo Gota a Gota (Building Drop by Drop), Construyo Sanando (Building by Healing), and Construyo Rehabilitando (Building by Rehabilitating).
